Kebab
Pre-COVID. 5 am. Back home after a party night, I could eat a horse. On the way, as always, there is a mandatory stop at our Kebab. In the usual, the trustworthy one; the one you look for when you move to a new neighborhood. The one that never fails.
We can link an infinite number of images to a Kebab: skateboarders with dirty chino pants invading Joaquin Costa st , in Barcelona, with his durum in hand; a friend who waits, with a doner wrapped in aluminium foil; two guys from Seven Sisters talking about ‘business’ in front of a plate of shish kebab and chips; the delivery to see the Super Bowl; the sticker on the window with the halal symbol …
Although today we think of the kebab as a humble, modern and accessible food for different types of public, its origins are linked to the greatness of the ancient Persian kings. It is from this globalization of this delicatessen that the need arises to honor this food that unites and in the past united cultures. Our way of visualizing and fighting for a free future for all, materializes naturally in this ancient food that is already universal.
At Goodies we want to thank the real heroes for all of this: the people behind the bar who made it popular. Our Goodies Kebab cap express how this food is already part of so many cultures, of the collective imagination. A classic strap-cap with modern finishes in which the protagonists are the pressed beef roll and the chef.
